Live TALK: Whose Line is it Anyway

Laughs are hard to come by midweek. The begrudging acceptance that you gave to go to work after the weekend has gone and left a particularly bitter taste in your mouth. But conversely the great thing about the middle of the week is that the weekend is nearly upon us. This weekend there are plenty of things to look forward to,the funniest of which is the return of the Punchline Comedy Club

The comedy institution at O’Malley’s is back and it’s bringing its friends from Whose Line is it Anyway? along for the ride. These seasoned comedy performers seem to like Shanghai and were here last year at show that yours truly attended. Other than a poor seating plan the show was great. Not as good as the classic 90’s TV show but still a cut above the rest in terms of laugh a minute improv comedy.

Tickets cost RMB 350 and it would be wise to book ahead if you plan on going because space is limited, and time is short. The performance is on January 22nd for one night only and starts at 9:00 pm.

A classic on television and almost as funny on stage, it is still certainly worth the ticket price. Expect humor of the most cerulean variety and plenty of drunk fans whooping at references to bodily functions and lascivious puns.

Where: 42 Taojiang Lu, near Wulumuqi Lu
