The Speedo Run for Testicular and Prostate Cancer Awareness is an annual event that originated in Johannesburg after a lost bet at a bar morphed into a charity run. In its third year, the Speedo Run has gone global, with runners in Shanghai, Johannesburg and Washington D.C. dressing down in their finest swim trunks to highlight their precious package and the diseases that could affect it. The Shanghai race raised beaucoups of awareness as crowds of Chinese onlookers followed the runners through People's Park, asking why the waiguoren were running around in their skivvies.
