The Italian high-end furniture company Natuzzi emanates sophistication, quality and style in its simple yet timeless designs and has much to celebrate at its Shanghai flagship store on its 50th anniversary as it offers more than just furniture to those with the right pocket.

With an emphasis on “It’s how you live”, Natuzzi promises the all-important service of home-consultation and personalised payment for an interior design to suit your life and shows how art and living can be brought together on its anniversary by hosting ‘Art in the City’ with artwork brought together by the Fellini Gallery. On show is a selection of California artist Ed Moses’ older and more recent work of abstract electric paintings in acrylic on large canvases. As the main piece of Ed Moses was revealed later in the evening, a guest gasped in admiration of the painting that was like burnt red wood with a visual texture making one almost want to reach out and touch it.

The store was full of guests and fans of Natuzzi and on the night of the celebration there was also an armchair inspired dance performance, but let’s go back to what the brand is well-known for: A signatory passion for leather. This could just be the place to go if you are looking for high-end durable leather sofas as leather Made-in-Italy can attest to a renowned quality. In addition there are coffee tables in glass and wood, stylish dark wood bookshelves and dining tables to choose between. Whereas style definitely reigns across its ranges, the colour chart is limited to earth colours and red, and hence they also provide a magnificent backdrop for the colourful yet abstract artwork.
