The elaborate gala Art on Ice, renowned for its unique combination of figure skating and live concert performance, makes its Asia debut this month. World-champion skaters and China’s most revered concert pianist Lang Lang will share the stage for what may be Shanghai’s first Ice Capade. Originally created in Switzerland in 1995, Art on Ice brings top musicians together with the most talented ice skaters and dancers in the world to create an interpretive exhibition of the same calibre as Cirque du Soleil. Organisers have worked directly with Lang Lang to craft an exclusive presentation for Shanghai, catering to the interests of a Chinese audience while maintaining the spectacular features that have made this event so famous. Two-time Pair Skating World Champions Qing Pang and Jian Tong will be joined by a number of recent medal winners for what is guaranteed to be a one-of-a-kind experience.
