After the success of 8 Mile back in 2002, it seems like every activity is taking their craft back to the streets. From poetry slams to chilli cook offs, if you’re a combative person and have a hobby there’s an opportunity to put your skillz [sic] to the test.  

On October 23, in a suitably gritty warehouse space a bunch of artists are putting their best feet forward and having a battle to once and for all decide who’s the baddest artist this side of the Lupu Bridge.

Chosen by the audience, one of the twenty artists will scoop the big bucks and take home RMB 2,000. While they work on their creations, you can drink and be immersed in the genre busting sounds of DJ’s Edamame and Ludovic Allen. Not wanting to leave your eyes out, the visual projections of VJ Tina Sparkle are sure to add an extra bit of glitter to the event.

So if you’re someone who likes art, or even someone who just wants to schmooze with a bunch of people in thick rimmed glasses and fedoras, then this is the place to be, come the October 23.
