Hair And Scalp Treatment @ Benson Salon

The secret to healthy looking hair is to have a healthy scalp - that is why we went along to Benson Salon to have a scalp analysis done by the hair professional to determine what problems our scalps had. To our surprise, the treatment began with a seat in front of a computer monitor! An electric scalp analyser, a camera specifically designed to photograph the scalp with acute accuracy, was then produced. After being placed on our heads, the camera relayed pictures of a small section of hair cuticles on our scalps and a discussion began with a group of technicians as to the problems that the analysis had discovered. Although we were assured that overall our hair was healthy, the cuticles were oily and dirty and therefore needed a special treatment to clean and revive them. Hopefully, the treatment would make our flat, limp hair once again full of life. The analysis is also able to tell if you have a sensitive scalp or hair that is prone to falling out – a particular problem for pregnant women – and can offer treatments to combat these issues. 

 

We were led back to our friendly and professional, English-speaking stylist who explained the process of

our treatment and got us settled in for the 45-minute treatment. At Benson, they use Capilo by Eva Professional hair care products that work to combat oiliness, hair loss, dandruff and weak hair through treating the scalp. Our preventative treatment worked to control disorders caused by excessive sweating and grease. Its menthol scent was extremely refreshing and immediately cooled and revived our tired scalps. The technicians worked quickly and skilfully to apply the treatment before it was left in for a ten-minute period whilst a thermal heating cap was placed on our heads. At the end of the treatment, our hair was shampooed and conditioned with Capilo products before being blow dried to perfection.

 

Once the treatment was over and our hair had been styled, we were once again taken to the scalp analyser to get up close and personal with this overlooked piece of skin. Low and behold, the refreshing treatment had blasted away all the grime from our cuticles and the result was immediate; bouncy hair that was full of movement. One treatment will set you back RMB 580 whilst there is a discount if you buy multiple treatments (RMB 1,880 for 4 treatments or RMB 3,280 for 8 treatments).
