East China Hotel Opening: Crowne Plaza Wuxi Taihu

Crowne Plaza Wuxi Taihu is the first Crowne Plaza hotel in Wuxi and is located near to Wuxi Lihu Lake. Situated in a section of the Twin Tower Complex, it has a prominent position in the city’s business district. The hotel also enjoys close proximity to a number of keys areas ranging from Taihu Avenue to a busy shopping mall and scenic spots such as Plum Blossom Garden, LiYuan Garden and The Turtle’s Head Park. The hotel has 43 floors and offers 300 finely appointed guestrooms. There is also a floor especially reserved for ladies seeking exclusivity; Crowne Plaza Wuxi is the first to offer this type of specialised accommodation in the local area.

The hotel comprises three different restaurants. Le Café, an all-day dining restaurant, offers Eastern and Western cuisine. Paolo Italian Restaurant serves up deliciously authentic Italian food. Finally, traditional Chinese dishes are on offer in a contemporary atmosphere with four private dining rooms.

Crowne Plaza Wuxi Taihu boasts 2,000 square meters of flexible meeting space across eight meeting rooms, including a pillar-less grand ballroom with high resolution LED screens that seat up to 500 guests in a banquet-style.

The hotel’s investment comes from the Shanghai Urban Development Group Wuxi Real Estate Co., Ltd and is managed by InterContinental Hotels Group.

During the grand opening of Crowne Plaza Wuxi, Ms. Georgette Ng, Hotel General Manager, together with the management team, greeted investors, media and guests.
