Hilton worldwide appoints John Burger as general manager of The Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai. This is Burger’s fourth hotel opening in China and he will be given the task of building a top class team to accentuate the Hilton tradition of first class hospitality. Burger brings with him 29 years of experience including six hotel openings as well as having worked in Vietnam, South Korea and Singapore. Prior to The Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai, Burger worked at the Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe where he was responsible for the establishment and opening of the property.
This November, after 11 months of intense preparation by Shangri-La properties in China, the Ride For Hope charity activity successfully pedalled off on 16 November from Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen. There were over 122 riders who participated in the event and RMB 134,393.99 was collected. All the money received will be donated to three separate beneficiaries; a group of villagers living in Guangxi Autonomous Region, Shenzhen Blue Ocean Conservation Association and the Will Foundation.
