The well-known painter, Mr Xu Beihong’s wife, Ms Lao Jingwen, recently stayed at Le Meridien Yixing. Upon her arrival at the hotel, Ms Jingwen was greeted by the General Manager, Ms Sabrina Xue. Mr Xu Beihong was primarily known for his Chinese ink paintings of horses and birds. He was regarded as one of the first to create monumental oil paintings with epic Chinese themes, showing his high proficiency in an essentially Western art technique.
