Suite Talk: The Langham Xintiandi

Over the past 18 months, the Langham Xintiandi has slowly been revealing all its seductive assets to the city. First it was the glamorous hotel itself, then its nightlife hotspot XTD Elevated and, most recently, the luxurious Chuan Spa. With every opening, we’ve flocked to the property and been downright impressed, so when we heard they had opened The Langham Club, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves – and since the amenity comes complimentary when you book a suite, we reserved a night at the hotel’s Junior Suite.

The exclusivity starts the moment you check-in and are whisked to the 27th floor to enjoy a welcome drink. The club’s floor-to-ceiling windows give way to sweeping views of Taiping Lake and Xintiandi juxtaposed with the old city just a block beyond. The design is inspired by the private clubs of the Victorian era, but the environment is anything but stuffy. With a 24 hour open door policy to those with the key, The Langham Club is happy to serve you all day refreshments, as well as complimentary breakfast and evening canapés and cocktails, a choice of top shelf spirits and wines, not to mention Champagne. How divine!

If you’re in the mood for something a bit more private, you can take your drink back to your room – a tempting proposition once you’ve seen the size of the bathtubs in the suites. The minibar is also complimentary for Langham Club guests, so the fun can keep going all night long, but don’t stay up too late. The hotel’s plush beds and abundant pillows make for serene sleep, and the friendly staff will bring up a fresh pot of coffee for your wake-up call to make sure you can motivate your way out from beneath the cosy comforter.

Access to The Langham Club is complimentary for any guest who books a Langham Club Room or a Suite. Until the end of April, the Langham Xintiandi is offering all the Langham Club benefits to guests for just an additional RMB 500 + 15% per day.
