If you’re looking for the kind of gift that shows you’re in the know, these stylish wine distillers from glassware maker Riedel will give you some pretty good Christmas cred this year. But more than just making you look like you’re a hardcore wine buff, they actually have some serious scientific function behind them. The Eve (pictured left) is designed especially for young wines, which would normally need several hours to decant. In this, however, the snake-like shaping allows you to shake and turn oxygen through the wine, decanting it in under a minute, and gives a final oxygen boost as the wine travels down its long neck to the glass.
