Madison's Thanksgiving Menu
Don't have Thanksgiving dinner plans in Shanghai yet? Well, lucky you, we know one place that hasn't booked up yet. Madison is serving a five course menu for RMB 500 (including one glass of the bubbly) and they've still got a few seats left, so hurry up and give them a call because they just released their menu and from the looks of it, I doubt they'll have availability for long. Below is the menu to get your mouth watering.
Amuse: Truffled pumpkin soup - pepitas, parmesean frico
1st course: Poached shrimp salad, root vegetables, preserved lemon, black garlic
2nd course: Toasted almond gnocchi - grouper, grapes, celery
3rd course: Butter poached turkey breast - cranberry gastrique, torn bread salad, pumpkin puree
4th course: Rolled turkey dark thigh with foie gras mousse - frenched beans, cauliflower puree, cranberry compote
5th course: Salted pecan and caramel tart with pumpkin ice cream
If you miss Chef Austin's five course spread, you can still make it in for his Turkey Sunday Supper on the 28th. And this week's Sunday Supper is the Steakhouse Classic Night, with chateaubriand, creamed spinach, onion rings, caesar salad and more. Same deal as usual: RMB300 all you can eat, an extra RMB50 buys you all you can drink beer and soft drinks, for children under 12, RMB200 with unlimited soft drinks and juices.
