Summer Camp Supplement

Junior Management Team @ Kempinski Hotel Suzhou
Kempinski Hotel Suzhou recruited an exclusive junior management team for a half day tailormade hotel working experience to celebrate both International Children’s Day and the grand opening of their brand new outdoor kids club. Six children aged from five to 10 years old had the chance of experiencing an hoteliers’ life as the roles of Chief Concierge, Paulaner Manager, Executive Chef, Lady in Red and General Manager.
The official handover ceremony began at 9am, followed by a morning briefing meeting with the hotel management team at the General Manager’s office to go through all the tasks and challenges ahead. The junior management team started by greeting and inviting kids into the hotel lobby with the Lady in Red, then a unique experience at the indoor golf centre. They also learned about beer brewing with the Paulaner Manager at Paulaner Bräuhaus, and created special kids mocktails for the summer. Last but not least, a hands-on cooking class was prepared for them where they learnt how to make fruitcakes. From this half-day hotelier experience, all of the junior management team learnt, enjoyed and understood the meaning of working in a five start luxury hotel.
Another highlight of the event was the junior management team hosting the grand opening of the brand new outdoor kids club. The outdoor kids club is located in the hotel’s spacious private garden with additional activities like a bouncing castle, naughty castle, indoor and outdoor mini golf.
