The Glass Metropolis launches Lu Chi’s latest series of sculptures created over the past two years. Fourteen new works, including ‘Carousel of Memory’, ‘Character and Roads’, ‘Drunken Night’ and ‘2009 Financial World’ use glass to capture life in the Shanghai metropolis that is Shanghai. Lu Chi explores all facets of the city: its light, its shadows, its technicolour, its elegance, its extravagance and magnetic unpredictability.
