Channel One Mall

Located in Putuo district on 155 Changshou Lu, Channel One is six floors of mall madness. Hit up the usual chain store suspects like Zara, H&M, Sephora and Uniqlo, then browse through its specialty stores and stop for a bite at one of its many ‘I AM Eating’ restaurants in the food court.

A205

One part art, one part fashion, A205 has set itself apart with its fashion themed art exhibition. Each season, A205 launches a collection based on an artist or designer’s inspiration, which has included ‘Blue’ and ‘Wave of Hippie’ in previous lines. For its fall and winter collection, designs were inspired by a ‘Search for Utopia’ concept, and featured hip, wool tuxedo coats for men, and long biker jackets for the ladies.

Shanghai Traditional Snack Food

The English name pretty much speaks for itself, doesn’t it? We suggest practicing your Shanghaihua here over a no frills meal of paigu niangao (fried rib and rice cakes in soy sauce) or a simple bowl of Shanghai style scallion noodles. Ordering is a cinch too. Just look down at the placemat, which is also conveniently the restaurant’s menu written in both English and Chinese.
