What’s better than grabbing a stiff drink whilst admiring a spectacular view of the iconic Oriental Pearl Town, futuristic Shanghai Tower and legendary architecture of The Bund from the heart of the city’s financial district after a hard day’s work? Not much in our book!
 
Well great news because last month Morton’s of Chicago, The Steakhouse reopened their Sky Bar on the rooftop of the IFC Mall. The Sky Bar is back with a vengeance and with a brand new Sky Bar menu that includes a wide selection of famous summery cocktails. 
 
Although we were gutted to bid goodbye to the steakhouse’s legendary steak sandwich happy hour, the new drinks menu, power hour on the rooftop and a wide selection of decently priced bar snacks more than makes up for the loss.
 
The new cocktail menu introduces a host of never-before-seen cocktails at Morton’s, all made with premium spirits and exclusive to the rooftop bar. Our favourites include the Mai Tai, Pina Colada and the Bahama Mama all made with Havana Club 7 year (RMB 108 each). For fans of fruity flavours poured over Absolut, look out for the Sex on the Beach, Mango & Passion Fruit Caipiroska and the Lemon Flower, made with vodka, lemon juice Elderflower Liqueur and Limoncello (RMB 108 each). We also loved the heartier Chivas 18 year creations: the Scotch Old Fashioned, Chivas Sour and the Morning Glory Fizz, all made with egg white, lime juice, simple syrup and a dash of Absinthe (RMB 128 each).
 
Sip on a MORTini, and dance the night away to the in-house DJs, with cocktail promotions between 6pm and 10pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at the only outdoor rooftop atop the IFC Mall, Morton’s Sky Bar in Lujiazui.
