POM POM: A Cookie Bar

We delve deep into Shanghai’s food underbelly to give you an alternative view of the city’s dining scene.

Listen up cookie lovers! A brand-new cookie business is now open in Shanghai. POM POM focuses entirely on bulk orders, and is committed to providing authentic American-style cookies.

Essentially, this is a business run out of Katrina de Mirman's own kitchen, who single-handedly launched POM POM in January this year. The batchonly policy (one batch contains 15-20 cookies) encourages sharing, so it's a great excuse to invite friends over or host a cookie party of your own.

In the meantime, we can get excited over the menu, which offers flavours such as triple chocolate chunk, cinnamon oatmeal and peanut butter. And for all you crazy cookie junkies out there, the "junk" cookie has ingredients such as pretzels, potato chips and marshmallows.

Mirman, originally from Chicago, Illinois, has been baking cookies for as long as she can remember, and ensures all her cookies are made with fresh, premium ingredients.

POM POM also offers customisable cookies that come either in a classic shape, as bars, or in the style of a layered cake. You can also choose to have your cookies delivered either baked or in dough form.

So go ahead, place your order, and host your cookie party now. We'll be waiting eagerly for an invite.
