Pregnancy Spa Treatment In Sanya
Sanya, located at the southernmost tip of China’s Hainan island, a place often paralleled to Hawaii, is inviting pregnant mothers to go and enjoy its white sands and brilliant blue waters. Now imagine a beach; the slight decline down to pure, crystal waters; behind you is a jungle of palms and in the air all you hear are the fleeting sounds of birdsong. Then you notice how the place is full of... pregnant women. The two seem incongruent, yet this is exactly the sort of place pregnant mothers should be. We all know that pregnancy is physically limiting and can, at times, leave a woman feeling house-bound. However, now the Mandarin Oriental, Sanya offers a range of mother-friendly treatments, there really is no reason not to get down to Sanya. After all, mothers are forever deserving of luxury (every now and again at least), and pregnancy is just one of those times when women need it most.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Sanya, is a haven of relaxation, and welcomes mothers-to-be with open arms this summer. Encompassing 3,200 sqm and boasting a diverse list of treatments and products, The Spa offers all-round luxury and seclusion.
18 treatment suites, each with a steam shower, sauna, rain shower and outdoor bath, will be yours to enjoy. The din of the city you hear each day will be replaced with the soothing sounds of running water, provided by the fountain in the square. In addition to the wide range of treatments offered, a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor and Shaolin Kung Fu master will provide traditional methods to maintain a healthy balance.
Below are just a couple of the treatments available at Mandarin Oriental, and are tailored purely to accommodate pregnant mothers. These treatments will not only enhance their comfort, but also the wellbeing of their baby.
Three To Seven Months Pregnant:
Indulge in a reinvigorating facial, which utilises The Spa’s luxury range of Amala products, containing 100% organic ingredients. The treatment will commence with a cleansing facial scrub to rid your pores of all that city grime, followed by a stimulating face massage and face mask. It ends with a moisturising face cream, so you are guaranteed to emerge from the treatment positively glowing. Facials last between 60 minutes to an hour and a half and are priced between RMB 1,088 to RMB 1,388.
Four To Six Months Pregnant:
Relieve upper-body tension with this 50-minute massage, which induces deep relaxation and specifically targets the neck and shoulder areas – areas pregnant women will typically feel strain. The treatment starts with a ten-minute foot ritual, after which you can recline on a treatment bed to enjoy a back, leg and head massage. Following the massage, guests can enjoy a relaxing ‘spring refreshing tea’ in the comfort of The Spa’s relaxation area along with some healthy snacks. The treatment is priced at RMB 998.
