This benefit performance features six locally-based bands, and will highlight the humanitarian response to the catastrophic earthquake that struck Haiti in January. The night’s lineup begins with French and American acoustic gypsy jazz trio Wayne’s Basement, followed by Shanghainese psychedelic rock experience Duck Fight Goose, classic rock expat mainstays Studio 188, pop-rock quartet Monroe Stahr, reggae crossovers Lions of Puxi, and Xinjiang fusion rock trio Weghur. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to international aid efforts. The charity partner for the benefit is Habitat for Humanity, an international NGO that has been working in Haiti for 26 years and will use its local expertise to mobilize resources as part of the long-term recovery building efforts.
