Sounds of Hawaii at Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai
In the evening of 8 December 2012, Sounds of Hawaii gathered many of Shanghai's elite and influential at the Grand Ballroom of Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai. The fusion four course gala dinner prepared by the top chefs of the hotel were delightful, but the true highlight had to be the performances. The event featured grammy award winning artiste Mr Jeff Peterson on the slack guitar and his band David on the bass, Chino on the Ukelele, Kawena and Pomaika performing the traditional Hawaiian hula dance. Guest singer Ms Jasmine Chen, our very own local jazz singer also infused chinese folk songs into Hawaiian tunes as well.
