JZ Fest: Students take the stage

JZ Fest is just around the corner, and TALK is excited about the diversity of this year's lineup. With 37 bands and 20 DJs on three different stages – jazz, rock/folk and electrograss – this music festival will be offering lots more than just jazz.

And that's not all. You'll also be able to check out some of Shanghai's upcoming talents. Student bands from JZ School, Shanghai American School (Puxi), British International School (Pudong), Ecole Francais, Dulwich College, and Shanghai Community International School (Pudong) will be performing on JZ Fest's electrograss stage at Century Park.

Watch out for a 100-piece big band comprised of brass and wind instruments from SAS Puxi, as well as Ecole Francais' "new punk"/rock outfit -- which is directed by Vladmir Legay, guitarist in the Shanghai-based reggae band, the Lions of Puxi.
